When you are looking for a top competitor in the hybrid market, there should be no hesitation after test driving the Honda Insight. For 2012, this hybrid car will get a bit of a refresh, both in performance and style.
Coming to Piedmont Honda in Anderson, South Carolina next month, the Japanese auto maker previewed this hybrid vehicle at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany weeks ago.
Some of the additions and improvements within 2012's model include better air conditioning, more angular design for vehicle aerodynamics, and a bump up in fuel economy. Lower front suspension is now constructed from aluminum instead of steel, which lessens cabin noise and vibration. Honda also improved quality of seat and dash materials, as well as an increase in head room. The rear spoiler has been slimmed down in order to improve rear visibility.
Those upgrades are available on Insight vehicles world wide, but the US-spec gets its own improvements.
In the States, Insight will come with an upgraded audio system with added features, as well as navigation. All these additions were shown off on the Honda vehicle in Germany, and are expected to be applied to North American models.
