The new Honda lineup that Piedmont Honda offers at our Anderson, SC car dealership is constantly evolving in order to better meet the demands of today's drivers. That said, there are more than a few Honda enthusiasts out there who'd like to know what the Japanese automaker has planned next

Some say Honda will shift its focus to creating affordable electric models. Others claim the Big H will aim to please performance enthusiasts. Meanwhile, there are those who wish to see Honda appeal to the increasing demand for utility from drivers around the world.

What if we told you Honda is planning to focus on all three points?

At least that's what the company is planning to do in Europe. Specifically, Honda CEO, Takanobu Ito recently took some time to outline some new models that the European marketplace can expect to see in the near future. Included in the list are a new compact SUV based on the Honda Fit; a new version of the Honda Civic Type R, which is described as an even sportier version of the Honda Civic Si; and an all-new fuel cell electric vehicle to replace the Honda FCX Clarity.

Thus far, only the fuel cell electric vehicle has been confirmed for the U.S. market. That, however, does not mean that the other new models Honda announced won't make it here as well. Keeping that in mind, Piedmont Honda invites you to stay tuned for more information on the development and possible U.S. release of the Civic Type R and all-new compact SUV, as well as other Honda news.
