The staff at Piedmont Honda is always proud to hear about the long-time love and support that is provided by loyal and dedicated Honda drivers. Citing Joe Lociero and his 1990 Honda Accord with one million miles or Harry Ettling and his 1982 Honda Civic, there are a number of dedicated Honda drivers and fans.
Tim Mings, a Honda driver, recently reported that he's owned over 300 different Honda N600 hatchbacks in his lifetime. Having worked on nearly every single N600 currently on the road in the Los Angeles area, Tim Mings has helped to restore the N600 and preserve the vehicles for years on end.
The Honda N600 was a hatchback model released as a 1970 model in the U.S. Though it was classified as a compact vehicle it was also spacious and had earned itself a strong reputation for being an economical choice that's also fun to drive. Honda is proud to recognize Tim Mings for his hard work as a successful mechanic earning a living as the world's only Honda N600 decades after the vehicle's discontinuation.
The crowning achievement of Mings' operation is set to be the restoration of the very first Honda N600 sold in the United States. The green N600, which is marked by a serial number of 1, currently sits in one of mings' garages. Though it's not currently in the best shape, Mings has both the parts and knowledge to return it to its prime.
