In a press release from last Thursday, Honda announced the exciting news that mass production of the all-new 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck is now underway in Alabama. More than 1,500 team members at the Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) plant celebrated the news. HMA is the exclusive manufacturer of the innovative new truck which is scheduled to go on sale soon at dealerships across the country.
With the 2017 Honda Ridgeline, Honda aims to challenge conventional thinking in the midsize pickup segment, by delivering class-exclusive features and setting new benchmarks for versatility and design.
The all-new Honda Ridgeline offers excellent on-road performance, and the best handling, cabin quietness, and ride quality in the midsize pickup segment, thanks to a unibody construction and available i-VTM4 torque-vectoring AWD system. The cabin is the largest and most versatile in the class, and the flat bed offers the only four-foot-wide space in the segment.
The Ridgeline is also designed to be an unmatched vehicle for tailgate parties, with class-exclusive features like an In-Bed Truck, Dual Action tailgate, and the first Truck Bed Audio system in the industry.
"Today we celebrate the dedication of our Alabama team in bringing a very innovative new pickup truck to market," said Jeff Tomko, president of HMA. "I congratulate all of our associates for their commitment to our customers as the Ridgeline returns with new features that will deliver even more of what today's truck customers want and need."
