In a press release from last Thursday, Honda announced the exciting news that mass production of the all-new 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck is now underway in Alabama. More than 1,500 team members at the Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) plant celebrated the news. Though fuel cell vehicles have been around for quite some time, they have never been incredibly popular. Now, Honda aims to change the profile of the fuel cell vehicle with its much-anticipated Honda Clarity Fuel Cell.

Late last week, Honda announced that in addition to the Clarity Fuel Cell's late 2016 release, it's model line would also be supplemented by the addition of the Honda Clarity Electric and Clarity Plug-In Hybrid, slated for a 2017 release. 

Plug-in hybrids will be "at the core of electrification in the future" for Honda, said Chief Executive Takahiro Hachigo.

The advantages of a plug-in hybrid are clear. For short trips, they act like an electric car, running off battery power alone, and not burning a single drop of gasoline.

This morning, Honda issued a press release with the exciting announcement that the company's all-new fuel cell vehicle (FCV), Clarity, will be shown this week at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. The five-passenger sedan is powered by hydrogen and is claimed to have the most advanced technology currently available in an FCV. In addition to Honda's "Sensing" suite of safety and driver assistance technology, Clarity will also come with in-cabin smartphone connectivity technology for both mainstream systems...
